The Congr\u00e8s mondial acadien 2004 team will promote its event in various markets over the next few weeks.<\/p>\n

In fact, representatives were in Montreal during the tourism show Salon Vacances et Loisirs d’\u00e9t\u00e9, from April 16 to April 18. They were participating in the event as part of a Nova Scotia delegation promoting the entire province. A second group will participate in a similar show in Quebec City, from April 26 to April 28, 2002. Salon Vacances is Qu\u00e9bec’s largest consumer vacation show with approximately 75,000 visitors.<\/p>\n

Congr\u00e8s mondial acadien 2004 is also targeting markets in the United States. A team from CMA 2004 will be in Louisiana to participate in “Festival International de la Louisiane” in Lafayette, from April 23 to April 28. As a Festival sponsor, CMA 2004 is aiming for high visibility in Louisiana, in addition to showcasing the music of Nova Scotia’s Acadian group Grand D\u00e9rangement to the Festivals 200,000 participants. While in Louisiana, CMA 2004 will also visit with community organizations, various media and municipalities to invite them to visit Nova Scotia, the ancestral land of Acadians.<\/p>\n

In May, representatives of CMA 2004 will make their way to Boston as part of Nova Scotia’s Cat Sail. North America’s fastest car ferry, The Cat, which runs from Bar Harbour to Yarmouth, will be transformed into a Nova Scotian floating travel fair from May 16 to May 20 in a high-profile promotion reaching 18,000 people from New England<\/p>\n

Le 16 avril, 2002<\/p>\n

L’\u00e9quipe du Congr\u00e8s mondial acadien 2004 fera la promotion de son projet dans ses march\u00e9s cibles au cours des prochaines semaines.<\/p>\n

Une d\u00e9l\u00e9gation s’est rendu \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al \u00e0 l’occasion du Salon vacances et loisirs d’\u00e9t\u00e9 du 12 au 14 avril dernier. Les membres faisaient partie d’un groupe de la Nouvelle-\u00c9cosse faisant la promotion de la province comme destination touristique par excellence. Une deuxi\u00e8me d\u00e9l\u00e9gation participera \u00e0 un Salon Vacances similaire \u00e0 Qu\u00e9bec du 26 au 28 avril prochain. Ces salons sont les plus grands foires touristiques au Qu\u00e9bec et permettent de rejoindre 75 000 consommateurs potentiels.<\/p>\n

Les march\u00e9s cibles du Congr\u00e8s s’\u00e9tendent aussi jusqu’aux \u00c9tats-Unis. Une \u00e9quipe du CMA 2004 participera ainsi au Festival International de la Louisiane \u00e0 Lafayette du 23 au 28 avril. Afin d’assurer une visibilit\u00e9 de haut niveau, le CMA 2004 est commanditaire du festival, ce qui permet \u00e9galement au groupe acadien Grand D\u00e9rangement de se faire conna\u00eetre aupr\u00e8s des 200 000 individus qui prennent part au Festival. L’\u00e9quipe visitera aussi des organismes communautaires, des m\u00e9dias louisianais et des municipalit\u00e9s pendant son s\u00e9jour en Louisiane afin de les inviter en Nouvelle-\u00c9cosse, terre ancestrale des Acadiens.<\/p>\n

Au mois de mai, des repr\u00e9sentants du Congr\u00e8s mondial acadien 2004 se rendront \u00e0 Boston avec une \u00e9quipe de la Nouvelle-\u00c9cosse \u00e0 l’occasion du Cat Sail. Le Cat, le traversier le plus rapide en Am\u00e9rique du Nord, sera alors transform\u00e9 en foire touristique flottante du 16 au 20 mai. Cette promotion d’envergure en Nouvelle-Angleterre attire chaque ann\u00e9e plus de 18 000 personnes sur les quais de Boston.<\/p>\n
