Host municipalities for the first major events are revealed!<\/p>\n

Edmundston, NB – The 2014 World Acadian Congress is proud to announce the host municipalities for the first six major events of its programming as the Congr\u00e8s Mondial Acadien prepares to resonate throughout Acadia of the Lands and Forests in August 2014.<\/p>\n
The CMA 2014 organizing committee was confronted with a big challenge as the proposals received were of very high quality. However, after much deliberation, they arrived at the following selections:<\/p>\n
– Opening Ceremonies, August 8th: Edmundston (N.-B.)
\n– August 15th Celebrations : Madawaska (Maine)
\n– Ceremonies for a New Beginning, August 24th : T\u00e9miscouata- sur-le-Lac (Qu\u00e9bec)
\n– International Showcase- Espace du monde : Grand-Falls (N.-B.)
\n– Grand Youth Rally : Poh\u00e9n\u00e9gamook (Qu\u00e9bec)
\n– Multimedia Installation: Edmundston (N.-B.)<\/p>\n
The 2014 World Acadian Congress’ President, Emilien Nadeau, is very pleased with these first selections: “We are delighted that the municipalities of Edmundston, Madawaska, T\u00e9miscouata-sur-le-Lac, Grand Falls and Poh\u00e9n\u00e9gamook are joining the CMA 2014′ programming team. In collaboration with those municipalities, we will offer events that reflect the deep values and the dynamic nature of Acadia of the Lands and Forests.<\/p>\n
Although these major events will be centered around specific localities, a combination of activities will be staged throughout the region enabling all communities of the three regions of Acadia of the Lands and Forests to participate fully in the activities of the Congress.<\/p>\n
The 2014 World Acadian Congress organizing committee would like to thank all the municipalities that submitted proposals. These first six major events are only the tip of the iceberg.
